Summary: Hot swapping internal drives on a 420R

Wow, thanks for all the responses!  I was able to swap the drive w/o a 
problem.  One thing I didn't mention is that the internal drives on this 
420R are not used with any volume manager.

Summary with example output from my system:

Unmount any file systems on the disk in question.

Find the device to be removed:

# cfgadm -al
Ap_Id                Type         Receptacle   Occupant     Condition

c0::dsk/c0t0d0       disk         connected    configured   unknown
c0::dsk/c0t1d0       disk         connected    configured   unknown

c1                   scsi-bus     connected    unconfigured unknown
c3                   scsi-bus     connected    configured   unknown
c3::dsk/c3t0d0       disk         connected    configured   unknown
c3::dsk/c3t0d1       disk         connected    configured   unknown
c3::dsk/c3t2d0       disk         connected    configured   unknown
c4                   scsi-bus     connected    unconfigured unknown

Unconfigure the device:
# cfgadm -c unconfigure c0::dsk/c0t1d0

You might want to reissue the 'cfgadm -al' to confirm that the (correct) 
drive has been unconfigured:
# cfgadm -al
Ap_Id                Type         Receptacle   Occupant     Condition
c0                   scsi-bus     connected    configured   unknown
c0::dsk/c0t0d0       disk         connected    configured   unknown
c0::dsk/c0t1d0       disk         connected    unconfigured unknown
...

Remove and replace the device (be sure to pull the correct one!)

Configure the replacement device:
# cfgadm -c configure c0::dsk/c0t1d0

Then for good measure:
# devfsadm -C -c disk

Now the disk should be good to go.
