A Solaris 9 system with RM 6.22.1 installed experiences a long delay at system
boot. Whatever the system is doing (no activity is outwardly evident) cannot be
interrupted via L1-A, so it looks like the system has hung.

The long pause is that there are 1024 rdriver nodes.  In rdriver.conf the
 following entries are present:

 name="rdriver" parent="rdnexus" target=4 lun=3;

 name="rdriver" parent="rdnexus" target=4 lun=6;
 name="rdriver" parent="rdnexus" target=4 lun=7;

 name="rdriver" parent="rdnexus" target=5 lun=2;

 this creates 16 rdriver nodes per each rdnexus node.
 
 in the rdnexus.conf there are 64 nexus nodes defined.
 
 rdriver.conf seems to be modified by raid manager after install.
 (the default rdriver.conf only has one node)
 
So the workaround is to reduce the number of entries in
/kernel/drv/rdnexus.conf
