I think I figured it out.

metadb -d /dev/dsk/c3t6d0s2
metareplace -e d2 c4t6d0s2
metadb -a /dev/dsk/c4t6d0s2

Subject: overlaps with device in metadevice state database

We just had a tremendous power spike that knocked one of our 5200 SENA boxes
offline. It has restarted but I have a problem. I have searched the
sunmanagers.org archive and sun but to no immediate avail and I need this
resolved ASAP.

The logical volumes now show disks needing maintenance. No big deal. I do
a metareplace -e but this time, which is different than times past, I get an
error that the disk "overlaps with device in metadevice state database"
Upon further investigation, I notice that the controller number has changed
and now instead of c3t1d0s2 being used, the disk needing maintenance shows
as c4t1d0s2.

What can I do to resync my logical volumes? Here's an example of one of
them:

# metastat d2
