Summary:

Look harder next time.

All necessary info stored in /var/lp/logs/requests

Original question:

Hi,

I have a Solaris 8 server handling print requests from SunBlades and a
SunRay network.

I would configure it to log individual print jobs to /var/adm/lp.log

Details I need from each print job:
- User
- Time/Date
- Queue

I created a entry in syslog.conf to log the jobs:

lpr.debug /var/adm/lp.log

However this returns to much information and lpr.info does not record
the individual jobs.

What am I missing here?

I would also like to retain the Solaris print server rather then install
lprng or CUPS.

Cheers
Martin
