As always, this list is quick

ls | egrep -v 'folder1|folder2|folder3'
ls | egrep "(folder1|folder2)"
ls | egrep -v "(folder1|folder2|folder3)"

I used the first one listed.

thanks to everyone.

-
-Dumb question:
-I want to do somethig to all the folders except a few so I would like to
-ls | grep -v folder1 | grep -v folder2 | grep -v folder3
-without repeating the grep -v, something like
-ls | grep -v [ folder1 | folder2 | folder3 ]
-
-thanks.
