SUMMARY: Is this network card toast?

OK.. I replaced the network card... rebooted the machine. It came up strong
full duplex... and everything looks good so far.. No errors no collisions..
I forgot
to mention that the switch was just a little linksys 4 port box that was
lying 
around.
