Hi all,

Apologies for the delay in submitting this summary but the answer (supplied
by Scott Horward) is:

Check for "exclude" entries in the /etc/system file.

In our case "exclude: lofs" was the culprit and now prtmem, etc, work !

Many thanks
Sean.

<original message>

Hi,

I submitted this query a few weeks ago, but as yet no replies or suggestions
received...
Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

Background:

E10K domain with running solaris 2.6 (105181-30) with 24 CPU / 20GB memory.
Different versions of RMCmem tried from 3.8.2 to 3.9.4beta2 but all result
in the same errors on this domain (and ONLY on this domain with no obvious
configuration differences other than the physical size of the domain).

Problem:

When trying to load the RMCmem module via /opt/RMCmem/drv/bunyipload the
driver fails to load and the following messages appear in /var/adm/messages:

Aug 9 16:21:12 emafp1 unix: /opt/RMCmem/drv/5.6/sparcv7/bunyipmod:undefined
symbol nfs3_vnodeops
Aug 9 16:21:12 emafp1 unix: /opt/RMCmem/drv/5.6/sparcv7/bunyipmod:undefined

symbol lo_vnodeops
Aug 9 16:21:12 emafp1 unix: bunyipmod error doing common

On the command line the following message appears: can't load module:
No such file or directory

Same errors when trying manually to load driver using:	modload
/opt/RMCmem/drv/5.6/sparcv7/bunyipmod
Yes, the path is correct and the driver exists !

Thanks
Sean
