*Resolution:

I was able to get both Firefox and Safari to run the java console via the
ILOM on the x4540 with the following...

   1. Run /Applications/Utilities/Java\ Preferences.app
      1. In the General tab move Java SE 6 64-bit to the top of the prefered
      stack.
      2. In the Network tab click on the Delete Files button
   2. Clear the cache from the web browser and restart
      1. For Safari, go the the Safari -> Empty Cache
      2. For Firefox go to Firefox -> Preferences menu, then Network tab,
and click on the Clear Now button

Apparently can Linux users load the following packages...

sun-java6-bin
sun-java6-jre
sun-java6-plugin
sun-java6-fonts
sun-java6-jdk

and Opensolaris works right out of the box.

Original Problem Statement:

Sun Managers,

I noticed that after a recent update to OSX on my Mac, 10.5.7 (9J61),
neither Safari or FireFox 3, can launch the remote Java console after to
logging into the ILOM on an X4540.

After clicking on the "Launch Redirection" button some code is displayed in
a text window.

I assume this has to do with the OSX Java Security patch.

Does anyone have a work around for OSX? An alternate plan would be to run
Opensolaris under virtual box but this is a bit of overhead.
