For the / volume I first did a

metadetach d2 d1
metaroot /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0

This modified /etc/vfstab and /etc/system.

Then I rebooted the machine.
Then did a metaclear - r d2.

For swap and /var I did the same thing but had to manually edit the
/etc/vfstab file to go back to the /dev/dsk syntax for each of them.

I had to do a
metadetach -rf to force the remaining metadevices to clear out.

I used metadb -d to remove the state databse replica as the last step.

Below is my original question

I'd like to undo all of the mirroring on my two internal boot disk from
Disksuite control and go back to the /dev/vx/dsk syntax for the boot disk.
I know I have to issue metadetach and metaclear commands but I'm not
sure of the order in which to issued these commands.
Do I have to manually edit the /etc/vfstab to put back the /dev/dsk
syntax for the /var, swap and / volumes after clearing the volumes from
Disksuite?

Thank You.
