Many thanks to everyone who has responded so far with suggestions.

It seems the simple solution is :

$ dladm show-dev e1000g0
e1000g0 lnk: up speed: 100 Mbps duplex: full

Hi all,

SunOS hostname 5.10 Generic_Patch i86pc i386 i86pc

I have a problem with the e1000g NIC on a Sun Fire X4100 : I cannot work
out for the life of me how to show what duplex the card is running in.

I've tried the advice at
http://www.sunmanagers.org/pipermail/summaries/2005-February/006136.html
, however this only returns the ifspeed information - there is nothing
to be found for 'duplex' :

$ kstat e1000g | egrep -i '(duplex|ifspeed)'
        ifspeed                         100000000
        ifspeed                         100000000

Going through the kstat output manually also reveals nothing - plenty of
other statistics, but nothing relating to duplex. The man page likewise
has no suggestions. Any ideas ? I will of course summarise.
