SUMMARY: Disk Partitions

Well...nothing is ever as straightforward as it looks but here's what I've
gotten so far from this experience:
Don't use the Install CD for Solaris 8 if you already have something
installed on the system, start right off with CD 1 of 2.

It was suggested that I just use format to repartition it now but so far it
just just keeps coming back when I reboot. However, I see that my
partitions are out of order on the other Solaris 8 box, probably for the
same reason and that doesn't seem to be a problem. The swap cylinders on
that box are 0-362 even though it's on partition 1 and I'll probably never
be happy with swap out on the last cylinders on this machine, even though I
have very little real understanding of what that means. It seems bad and so
I think I'll reinstall, a decision that would require more thought if I was
sitting in a frigid computer room instead of having it here in my home
office for now.
