Question:

I have a quick question regarding a CVS server.

I have to migrate a CVS tree from one server to a second server across the
country. The new server will be an exact copy of the first server and
ultimately replace the first server. The was planning on tarring up the old
cvs tree and placing on the new server. Once on the new server I plan on
setting up pserver and having the user connect to the new server.

Has anyone done this before? Any issues I should be aware of.

Answers:

All of the individuals that responded said it would be fine to tar up and
migrate the cvs tree. No one expressed any concerns. A few individuals
recommended the following resources:

- cvs-info@gnu.org
- CVSup

Thanks again for the support.

Gary
