This message is just stating that my swap space is over 2gig in size and
that it will only be using 2gig and not the rest. It is harmless.

Thanks so much for all the responded to my questions.

Original question:

I am getting this error when rebooting new system just installed with
Solaris 7. We are having some strang database issues and I am wondering if
this error may have something to do with it. Does anyway know what this
means or if I should be concerned about it?

May 22 07:44:15 LaPorte unix: NOTICE: swap device /dev/md/dsk/d20 truncated
from 80796000 to 7fffffff

Thanks.
