SUMMARY: Host name....

Well, here's another demonstration of how good this list is.

Within five minutes of my posting, I got 20+ responses, and still puring
in.

I feel so stupid, I forgot the /etc/nodename but I also learned about
the /etc/net/itc*

Here's all the files I got from all the postings.

/etc/hosts
/etc/nodename
/etc/hostname.<interface>
/etc/net/ticlts/hosts
/etc/net/ticots/hosts
/etc/net/ticotsord/hosts

Next time I'll use sysconfig, but I was trying to do it myself and I
failed miserably.

Thank you all for your help.

Subject: Host name....

I'm stumped, what have I forgotten to do?

My host file shows

172.20.220.20 testpbs. testpbs loghost

My hostname.le0

# cat /etc/hostname.le0
testpbs
#

I have rebooted several times since the change of my host and the name
is not changing.

# uname -a
SunOS testam 5.7 Generic_106541-04 sun4d sparc SUNW,SPARCserver-1000
#

Solaris 7

Thanks in advance.
