Thanks for anybody who answer my questio about dd command !!!
My original question was :
>Sorry if the question is too basic,
>but we have never used the dd command to write to floppy and we donīt know
the
>ay to do this.
>I tried to use of=/dev/fd/0, of=/dev/fd0, of=/floppy/floppy0, ...
>Which is the correct syntax to write to the floppy using the dd command ??
The solution is :
- stops volmgt using command "/etc/init.d/volmgt stop"
- Run command "dd if=what_you_want_to_copy_to_diskette of=/dev/rdiskette
obs=1440k"
- Run eject command
- Restart the volmgt program using command "/etc/init.d/volmgt start"
