As Jim pointed out, Visio was acquired by the evil empire. This brings
a question to my mind, does anyone out there know of any equivalent
rendering software that is perhaps GPL'd which will run under Solaris
for doing data models, network diagrams, flowcharts, etc?
There is a new vrsion os Visio out there - Visio 2000, which and it's
sliced into various levels of uselessfulness on a sliging price
scale just like the other Office products. I just hate to shell out
more money to these guys.
I run Windows because I have to, not because I want to...
<slight rant>
I just had to purchase a copy of Works because I had some spreadsheets
in it which I hoped to import into Excel or Word. There's a filter, but
wouldn't you know... it can't grok the Works file. I can't believe I
had to shell out $50 to grab a couple of stupid spreadsheets that my
full copy of Office Professional's filters should understand. Even the
stock Works which ship with Office filters have no clue how to import
these files.
Sorry to stray off the subject a bit, but I feel a bit better getting
that off my chest...
