Summary II: Hostid

Thanks to everybody who replied, ~25 of you in all..
Many people recommended the link and tools I found about 3 minutes after I
sent my first email.
http://www.squirrel.com/squirrel/sun-stuff.html - the FAQ there is pretty
good too.
Some people suggested that it couldn't be done. This was my initial thought
as well, which is why I asked the list: to prove me wrong again.
Special thanks to Buddy Lumpkin for sending the following:

First write down the current hostid and ethernet address, Then
>From the ok prompt you need to do this procedure

Ok 0 0 mkp
8 0 20 c0 ff ee c0ffee mkpl
^d^r

that is the procedure to program an ethernet address of 8:0:20:c0:ff:ee and
a hostid of xxc0ffee

where xx is the machine type so if its anything later than a sparc 20, its
going to be 80.

Thanks again,
Michael DeSimone
