Thanks to those who answered. I got answers from you need 2.7, to it
should work with 2.6. The correct answer was: It should work with
2.6. We ended up having a "unlimit datasize" and "unlimit stacksize" in
one of our tool .cshrc's. The "unlimit stacksize" was a problem.
Apparently you cant unlimit stack size and it was keeping us from
unlimitting datasize.

The short and quick is " On solaris 2.6, unlimit the datasize and you
can run a process to just under 4 gig.

thanks again
Chris

Original question......................................

Hello everyone,

Is there a kernel variable in solaris 2.6 that allows a process to use
over 2 gig?

thanks in advance,
Chris
