Summary: Connecting Netscape to StarOffice

Thank you for you answers.

Essentially, Edit Preferences --> Netscape --> Applications
Change the program to reference "****/soffice %s"

I also learned about ~/.mailcap, where this information is replicated
by the Netscape helper.
