Thanks to all the replys. I finally got it working. The most complete
answer referred me to the following URL

     http://www.SolarisCentral.org/opt/

which pointed me to another URL

     http://www.cae.wisc.edu/~gerdts/ultra10_cdrecord.shtml

which gives step-by-step instruction on setting up cdrecord on a Ultra10.

My particular problem was related to the 32-bit vs 64-bit mode.

Thanks everyone,
Frank
