hi gurus,
apologies for late summary , new job up to ears ..in work ..

but as allways the groups came through quick as lightening ..
the problem turned out to be a previous install of SUNLINK which it seems is a samba version from sun .. and it was interfering with the net bios somehow , de-installed it andtried ..worked like a charm ..
