Wow...this list has so much info.

Damm !!! why didn't ask this question earlier ?

anyway I got many responses to my querry and what I was thinking is impossible
turned out to be easily possible.

To all those who wanted to know if it is possible and how to do it, the answer
is YES..it is possible.

You need a Adapter which is available readily with many vendors,

1.Access Developement - www.suncables.com 800-228-0795 - $36
2.http://www.si87.com/Products/Cabling/Adapters/adapters.html - $30
3.www.monitorworld.com
4.http://members.xoom.com/keywire/convert.html - $50
5.Sun sells an adaptor PN 530-2357-01.
6.From Sun store (http://store.sun.com):Part Number: X470A - $45

I found out that it was available for $30 at Software Integrators (option 2)
after I ordered one from Access Developementfor $36. :-(
hopefully it will work.

Option 2 also has list of supported models of monitor, so you can verify the
monitor you have will work or not.

Thanks to All those who replied and sorry if I missed anyone.

compatible. thanks Tom.
