SUMMARY:

Stackers and Jukeboxes are subclasses of Tape Libraries.
A stacker sequentially steps through a "stack" of tapes. A true stacker has no concept of random accessing any tape within the library. Some jukeboxes (such as the DLT4700) can function as stackers by self-labotomizing their higher functions.

A jukebox is tape library that can randomly access any tape. This is similar to a music jukebox that can play songs in any order. Thus the carryover of the name.
