Summary: Java JDK 1.2 with HotSpot VM

Only recieved one reply. Although I agree that maybe we should test it
ourselves, management has
decided to put pressure on the other company to come up with their own fix.

I think the only way you are going to find out is to test it.

I'm sure Hotspot can run certain programs a zillion times, and
others, it probably can't run once. The same can be said about
the JDK. It really depends on your program. As they say,
your mileage will vary.

I would definitely try the 1.2.2 with HotSpot 1.0.1. JDK1.2.1
with/without HotSpot 1.0.0 had some weird spots.

If there is a bug in the VM, you might want to make sure you log
it in the JDC.
