Hello, the problem is solved. Thanks for all help.
The solution was to change the postscript level from 2 to 1.
Now the modified scripts works as they should.
Thanks for Detlev who pointed me to the Init_variables function in the scripts
in /etc/lp/interface/model.orig. It's a nicer solution.
