Thanks to all the respondents for the many(about a dozen)
replies I got regarding putting a "cap" on a given process'
cpu utilization. Thus limiting a process' consumption of
the cpu's resources.
I was told to check out the following commands:
ulimit/unlimit/limit, nice, priocntl, and pbind.
I was also pointed to a product called solaris resource manager.
