SUMMARY: changing host name

Hi all,

Thanks to all that replied. Here is a summary of the responses I had on
changing my host's name and IP.

The supported way is using sys-unconfig. This requires a reboot and then
putting in the new hosts information. This is probably not a good idea for
NIS or NIS+ masters.

Several responses directed to change:
        hostname in /etc/hosts
        hostname in /etc/hostname.[hme?, le?, be?]
        hostname in /etc/nodename

Others included the files:
        ./net/ticlts/hosts
        ./net/ticots/hosts
        ./net/ticotsord/hosts

I've used the long list of six filenames before and that was what I was
looking for. I'm going to use the sys-unconfig this time.

Thanks again, Michael
