The default block size of the Solaris ufs is 8k. 'man newfs' is what I
wanted.

Subject: default block size of ufs
Hello All,
I am wondering what the default block size of the ufs on Solaris 2.6 is,
where I would find the info on it, and how I might change it?
I have looked through all my man pages (catman) and several sys admin books
but didn't find anything on that.
Also, I am running Volume Manager and I know that you can change the block
size on RAID-5 volumes (and probably others as well). But, does that
change the base OS block size as well or does VM use it's own filesystem on
top of the OS? Or is that just the Veritas FS that does that?
Thanks,
Jeff Kennedy
