Some asked if the machine has all the patches.

Some reminded me if my /etc/rc2.d/S98y2k issued
shutdown command it could confuse the init because
it was in the middle of booting up. They suggested
that the shutdown get triggered a bit later. Actually
the test program did allow 3 minutes. I didn't mention
it my question because I didn't realize what it was
for until I read your email.

So I am still working on this.
But thanks a lot for your help.
