Basically, it is not as straight forward as I thought.

/ and /usr cannot be concatenated.

The solution I am going to use is to install a new 2GB disk unmirrored
and install 2.6 as a fresh install.

I will then create a new array using disksuite to build a 3GB mirrored
file system to put the user data on - from the latest backup tape.
