In response to my query on how to disable power management, I received
the following suggestions:
- Disable the /etc/rc2.d/S85power script
- Change the entry in /etc/power.conf so that the behaviour
for autoshutdown is "noshutdown"
- Remove the power management packages (SUNWpmu*)
- create the file /etc/noautoshutdown
- Login as root into CDE, and in the PowerManagement Menu, set
autoshutdown to "Never"
Thanks much to all those who responded.
