SUMMARY: Solstice patch advice

I asked about advise in selecting patches for Solaris 2.6, and an Ultra-2 dual
CPU system. The answers were universally to go ahead and apply the jumbo
patches. The products were:

AdminSuite 2.3/AutoClient 2.1
Solstice Backup 4.2.6
Solstice DiskSuite 4.1

The only one of these I have used in any substantial way thus far is Solstice
Backup 4.2.6, and that fails when attempting to backup a Solaris 2.5/SBU 4.1.2
client (server process crashes).

My thanks to the following for their responses:

Dave Staggs <dstaggs@interaccess.net>
"Robert Glover" <r_glover@wapol.gov.au>

I'm getting very close to putting my new Ultra-2 dual 200 Mhz workstation into
use as my team's primary server. This is also my first Solaris 2.6 system, so
while I've grabbed a list of OS patches that appear to make sense, a few patch
questions:

1. Are the JUMBO patches for AdminSuite 2.3/AutoClient 2.1 necessary or even
applicable to Solaris 2.6? These are the versions listed on the distribution
media, but 2.6 has the new bundled patch tools while these patches id the older
mechanism? (If applicable, which tool should be used to apply the patches)?

2. Same question for Solstice Backup 4.2.6?

3. Same question for Solstice DiskSuite 4.1?

TIA,
Marc
