Thanks for all the replies ( too many to list ) . The libC.so.5 file
in in package SUNWlibC. This file is include as part of SunOS 5.6, but
is not installed if you only ask for minimal runtime support. This Lib
is the C++ library for sparc compilers, as opposed to libc.so.x which is
the standard 'C' runtime library. I'm surprised Sun don't include this
file on the bare minimum configuration, I would have thought everyone
was using C++ by now.... :-)
