SUMMARY: large files in /proc

Hello

I asked :
Why do I sometimes find large files in /proc ????
I have noticed that they appear after the failure of a uucp session with a
remote server.
these files are always empty , large (when I do ls -al), and are named in
numbers for example 234567.

thanks for all who answered. the best info is found by doing a
man -s 4 proc
