Looks like there are no current archives of the Sun Flash digests.. All the ones that have been mentioned only go to Jan 1996. Oh well... Matter of fact, I'd like to find the answer to that one myself. I'd welcome a summary when you get the info. BTW: Do you remember how to connect a SCSI device to a Solaris 2.x system without a reboot? You have to do something in the /devices directory and touch a file, but I forget the particulars. Just wondering. My apologies if I'm intruding. JKB From: "Trevor Paquette" Subject: Claification: Sun Flash Archives.. One small clarification on my last request which was: Does anyone know where there are any searchable Sun Flash archives? I know about www.flashback.com.. but that is only accessable through to` Jan 1996. Most of Jan 1966, all of Feb 1996 to Jan 1997 is not there!!?? Is there anything more recent? (I tried ftp://draco.nova.edu/pub/sunflash/www/welcome.html but was greeted with:Connection refused. Probably only available to internal hosts..) What I am actually looking for is the SparcCenter 1000 and SparcCenter 2000 Eeprom upgrades that Sun offered about 2 - 3 months ago. It was a free upgrade (if you are under maintenance) that Sun announced. I need the text of that annoucement to show to our Support people here. I am positive I read about it in SunFlash. I just checked with our archive on draco.nova.edu and its only up to 1995. But I'll look into this with my colleagues, Roger, (which he's already left for today) and will keep you inform. -- James. The anonymous ftp to ftp://draco.nova.edu/pub/sunflash/www/welcome.html has been enabled. We don't know what's the lastest archive SunFlash has because it was maintained by John McLaughlin. One thing you may try is to subscribe to "majordomo@flashback.com" to find out more. -- James.
