Hello Sun gurus,

I am very late with my summary but here it is:

One of my two problems are now resolved! Maybe someone can help me on
the unresolved one (error #1)?

The original post was:

Answer to problem #2:

The solution is to download the jumbo patch for adminsuite 2.1 from SUN.
You should have a contract maintenance with sun to be able to download it
(ie. it is not a public patch). It is the jumbo patch 103235-12.

Problem #1 (UNRESOLVED):

The error message

   nisd[25545]: nislib:get_group() object "admin.$" is not reachable.
nisd[25545]: nislib:get_group:: Not Found, no such name.

appears in the logfile of all my replicas. The error I saw (with the help
of Simon-Bernard Drolet) is that my NIS_GROUP environment variable pointed at
admin.$ (ERROR!!!! because the $ is not interpreted there). So, I redefined
NIS_GROUP to "admin" only (the nis+ domain is automatically appended). I
verified that all my workstations and server in my NIS+ domain have the
corrected NIS_GROUP variable. I also rebooted all my workstations and servers.
But the error message is always there continuying to fill my var
partition. I suspect that somewhere there is a trace of "admin.$" but where???

Any ideas???

A big thank to the following experts :-) :
