Hi all,

My problem was:

we have an Ultra Enterprise 2 running with Solaris 2.5.1. Included is
Solstice Backup 4.2 (the "light" version ...).

When i start a second ethernet interface, here hme1 on a WIDE SCSI
sbus card, backup doesn't work and i see messages like this (hme0 is
host obelix and hme1 is host idefix [defined in hostname.hme0 and
 hostname.hme1]):

obelix syslog: * obelix:index save: SYSTEM error, cop
y violation - servers `obelix' and `idefix' have the same software enabler code,
 `111111-11c1cd-1e1d11'

Well, i know, this Solstice version is only a single server version, but
i want to run a single server with multiple ethernet interface.

My question: can i use Solstice Backup shiped with Solaris 2.5.1 on a
single server with multiple ethernet interfaces or must i buy an other
 Solstice version (which version?) ?

Well, thanx to "Marks, Evan R" <markser@aetna.com>:

go into the nsradmin and give the other addresses as aliases for the
server... fixes the problem everytime

It's works now.

Detlev
