Hello,

Yesterday (97/07/31) evening I upgraded firewall-1 from 2.1 to 3.0 without any
problems :-) on a sparc box running Solaris 2.5.

The first thing to do is to call the License Password Center to get the
password for all the modules to install.

In the documentation it is said that it is best to first upgrade the
Firewall Modules and then upgrade the management modules.

After backuping the old configuration (we never know!) I started the
installation.

The installation was really straight forward. In our case, I had 2 packages
to install: the firewall module (SUNWfw) and the Motif module (SUNWfwgui).
But if you have to install SUNWfwgui and SUNWfweui you must install them
separately: SUNWfwgui first and SUNWfweui second!

After the upgrade, you must start the GUI and reinstall the Security Policy.

And now everything works fine!
