The problem turned out that our timeout value was too small!

When we are doing incremental backups of large file systems (up to 15G) on
a relatively slow machine (Sparc 1000) the Backup program has to sit and
wait for a while while the machine calculates which files need the incremental
backups.

So Solstice Backup thinks that the machine has died when it is just sitting
their calculating away.

Bumping up the inactivity timeout value (in the detailed group view) to about
240 minutes seems to have fixed the problem.
