I cannot change any passwords from the command line:
microburst% yppasswd
yppasswd: Changing password for nessgr
Enter login(NIS) password:
New password:
Re-enter new password:
yppasswd: couldn't create client
- or -
microburst% passwd -r nis nessgr
Enter login(NIS) password:
New password:
Re-enter new password:
passwd: couldn't create client
Therefor# I must change the users password for then using
admintool.
Any ideas??
#################Solution:
rpc.yppasswd was not running on my server, it can be restarted from
command line, but usually its best to reboot if at all possible.
