Summary:

I forgot to mention that I had B=-b in my yp Makefile, so that was not the
problem...

It turns out the problem was, what that I had a cross bind on the slave
server....

The NIS master server obviously binds to itself, however the NIS slave
server must bind to the master NIS server... Instead the NIS slave server
was binding to itself, which caused the clients that were connected to the
NIS slave server unable to use DNS......

Thanks to all who replied..
Chris.
