Sorry for the late summary, I received 3 answers all told me that I was
misreading the listing of showrev.
The output is rather condensed and there isn't an option to get a more detailed listing, in the example below from the output on my SS20:
Patch: 103210-11 Obsoletes: , Requires:, Incompatibles: Packages: SUNWxwplt, SUNWxwslb
Patch: 103093-07 Obsoletes: 103084-02, 103489-01, 103325-03 Packages: SUNWcsr, SUNWcar
Patch: 103153-06 Obsoletes: , Requires:, 103093-04 Packages: SUNWcsr
showrev is telling you that patch 103210-11 does not obsolete other
patches, does not require other patches, there are no incompatible
patches/packages and the patch is composed of the SUNWxwplt and
SUNWxwslb packages. The second example issimilar but in this case patch
103093-07 does obsolete other patches.
In the third example showrev is telling you that patch 103153-06
requires the 103093-04 patch. If you have a later revision of 103093-04
things should be ok. So in my case (included at the end) there are no
"incompatibles", if there were they would immediately follow the
colon.
The jumbo kernel patch 103093-07 puts a message in your /etc/motd file
that you can ignore, it was left in the final distribution of the patch
by mistake. This is what made me take a closer look at the output of
showrev.
I searched through old summaries using the fuzzy search engine at
http://www.dataman.nl/cgi-bin/sunmanagers and found one on this issue.
