Summary: tcx framebuffer

Well.. I've found a solution to this problem

I need to start openwin with the -dev /dev/fbs/tcx0 defdepth 8
option. Thanks to all who responded!

I still would like more info on the various framebuffers out there
but now that this is solved I can go on.
