I am really disapointed about the number of answers I received for that
one: only 2 answers and one of them is a "me too" comment.
The other answer (from Simon-Bernard Drolet <simdro@sisca.qc.ca>) is to build
a program which verifies the shadow field in the passwd.org_dir table and
alert the user about expiration time. This solution should work since the
3rd element of the shadow field (of the passwd.org_dir table) means
the date of the last modification of the password counted in days since
1/1/1970.
So, I conclude saying that SUN Microsystems offers a password aging
facility that does not work with NIS+ (which is also a Sun Microsystems
product!!!) in Solaris 2.5 environment. Once again if somebody use password
aging (in Solstice AdminSuite) in conjonction with NIS +, just let me know.

I would like to know if somebody succeeded to apply password aging using
Solaris 2.5 and NIS+. If not, which alternatives do you use? When I am
using Password Aging via Solstice AdminSuite, the user is not notified that
his password should be changed (even if I use the warning field) and after the
expiration date, he is unable to enter his account!
So this option should be call account aging instead of password aging ;-)
