Original Post:
I'm looking for a PS/2 style keyboard (i.e. where the control, shift-
lock, alt keys, etc. are placed) for my SPARCstation 5.
Does such a beast exist, and where can I get them?

IN changed my original Classic keyboard with IPX.
It works (type 5 keyboard is type 5 keyboard) and I like it.

Eric,
You can get a PC style layout in the Sun keyboard from Sun.
You can even request it as an option in place of the standard UNIX layout.
The Sun part number is 320-1072 for Type-5, or 320-1194 for the Compact 1.

SunExprss sells a device to attach PC keyboards and mice to the SS5. costs
about USD 100.

I think Sun may sell a keyboard like that, and they also sell an
adaptor that lets you use a IBM keyboard and pointing device.

Kinesis (see http://www.cs.princeton.edu/~dwallach/tifaq)
sells an adaptor for their (electrically) PS/2 style keyboard
to allow it to connect to Suns.
Maybe you can actually USE a PS/2 keyboard.
