A while back I asked for help on a Sparc 2 which was crashing regularly
with "panic: swtch" (SunOS 4.1.3_U1)
I received a lot of useful messages - thanks to you all. Unfortunately I
wiped my mailbox and have lost the addresses :-(
I received a great message on how to perform post-mortem tracking on a dead
kernel (booting kadb or using savecore) but luckily I wasn't reduced to
this.
The solution is to install patch 101664-01. Aftering installing the patch
the machine has been up for over a week. One respondent (who sent me
the patch) says that out of all the machines he has seen with this crash,
the patch only fixed one of them - the rest were due to badly configured
modems. Well, now you know of two machines where the patch fixed the problem!
