Summary: Installing new SCSI hard drive

All these people suggested that while I might not have a SCSI id conflict, I might not have picked the proper id. GENERIC 4.1.3 only supports 4 hard drives, on ids 0-3. I was trying to use id 5. I switched the hard drive down to 1 and it was instantly recognized at bootup. Thanks for the help everyone.
