Well --

Things are okay now, but I am somewhat uneasy about the current state
the systems in question. Here is how we stand...

After a mother board change in the original system, the situation got worse -
in would crash within 5 minutes. Ross had no other concrete idea, so we
put the Ross module into another SS10 to test, and it has worked for
5 days without so much as a hiccup.

This, of course, doesn't make us feel completely better, since we haven't
installed it into the production system, our ultimate target.
Will the production system react like system #1 or system #2???

Most of the suggestions people made concerned the jumper changes needed
on the mother board - we made those to no avail. Aline mentioned the PROM
version. we had the current version of 2.19.3

So we have a decision to make....

Thanks again to the Borg-like creature we call "sun-managers"!!!
