A few days I mailed a problem whereby some users experienced extremly slow logins,
I recieved many many replies (too many to mention I think) most pointing to
possible slow or broken nfs links in the login path. However this does not
seem to be the case. Credit goes to Steven E. Grevemeyer for this answer
I haven't figured out what causes it but if you create a file
".hushlogin" in the users home directory it will probably
solve the problem.
Next question , why does it work !
