Hi, Sun Managers:

Orignal questions are:

> (1) How to verify this installation is OK or not ?
    (a) by Richard Pieri,
Get /usr/openwin/bin out of your PATH and try it. ==> same as FAQ

    (b) by raoul@MIT.EDU,
Once you've got it started, I'd suggest setting up an xinitrc and
running the startx script in the distribution. Use the startx script
enclosed, and put the xinitrc in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit.

==> If you need these two shell scripts -- startx and xinitrc,
please let me know, I will mail you directly.

    (a) by Richard Pieri,
What? Why did you link /usr/openwin/lib/whatever when compiling
R6? Are you using LD_LIBRARY_PATH? If you are, disable that and
        try again.

    (b) by Greg,
Typically this happens when you have an executable that is dynamically
linked to a library (in this case: /usr/openwin/lib/
that is an older revision on your machine than where it was built.
You can either live with the error, or get (or build) a newer library.

Thanks Richard Pieri,
